The Ardbeg distillery - more than 350 miles from the village near Bury - is showcasing its new 16-year-old single malt at The Fisherman's Retreat restaurant in Shuttleworth.
And the Airigh Nam Beist whisky is reported to be going down a treat with connoisseurs. Bottles of the whisky retail at about £40. Described as `uncompromising, smoky, wild and rugged' Airigh Nam Beist is gaelic for `shelter of the beast', with the name taken from a spot near Loch Uigeadail, on Islay, which is the primary water source for the distillery.
