Master distiller Gordon Mitchell is retiring in May.
Gordon truly is a master of his craft and will be missed at the distillery.
Robin Bell, visitor centre manager, said: ‘If it wasn’t for his talent we wouldn’t have the whisky we have.
‘Because of him we have won many awards for our whisky and we are regarded very highly by whisky fans around the world.’
Before he came to Lochranza in 1995 Gordon was master distiller at Cooley Distillery in Southern Ireland, where he made Connemara Whiskey.
