Stranahan's Colorado Whiskey | Print |  E-mail
Saturday, 28 October 2006
if you happen to be in Colorado this winter for ski season and are in need of a warm-up, you might want to try and get your hands on a bottle of Stranahan's Colorado Whiskey.

ImageThe Denver-based distillery tapped its first barrel earlier this year and the whiskey, which gets its mash from the nearby Flying Dog brewery, is already a hot seller. The company is only selling in Colorado this year (although they promise to head to other areas later). The whiskey retails for $54.95 per 750ml bottle. Rick Lyke of the excellent booze blog Lyke2Drink recently checked out the distillery and found out that because of the unique conditions of the high plains desert the room has to be humidified and that the constant heat and temperature in the room age the whiskey faster than than it would be aged at other distilleries.

For more information, please vitits Stranahan's Colorado Whiskey.
